Sister Susanne Thibault, MSBT

60 Years

Sister Susanne Thibault, MSBT is a native Philadelphian. Sister Susanne’s missionary life began early in her life when she was a student at St. Hubert’s High School. She traveled several miles to our Motherhouse to participate in meetings with our lay branch, the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate and engage in missionary activities with our Sisters and other young women.

Sister Susanne entered our Community on August 5, 1965. After her First Profession of Vows, Sister began a lifetime of many missionary journeys that took her to faraway places and a variety of ministries. Her first assignment was in Coamo, Puerto Rico where she taught English and became fluent in Spanish. The journey led her also to Greensburg, PA, East Los Angeles and South Central Los Angeles, Yakima, Washington, Connecticut as well as several ministries in New Jersey and Philadelphia and Hispanic Ministry in Alabama.  Sister Susanne made great contributions to these parishes and dioceses in Faith Formation and Family Ministry, both in English and Spanish.

Always having a heart for the elderly, Sister also served our elderly and infirm sisters with great love and compassion.

Sister Susanne’s dedication, creativity, generous spirit and most of all, her prayerfulness have been a great blessing to the Missionary Servants and all those she has served throughout these past 60 years.
