Sister Marie Frechette

2025 Jubilarian Celebrating 60 Years

When I was 18 years old I left my village of Osterville on Cape Cod, Massachusetts to enter the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity. I grew up with ‘our sisters’ and I wanted to be a missionary to the Americas.

Now, 60 years later I reflect on how many people I had the opportunity to love. I became a Clinical Social Worker and I have loved  being a counselor. I spent 28 years in the South, serving in Pensacola, FL; Asheville, NC; and Charlotte, NC. I also served in Rochester, NY, and Greensburg, PA. The years I have served at the Motherhouse in Philadelphia, PA were in Vocation Formation and Intracommunity Services. I believe that being an MSBT has been God’s way of bringing me the greatest happiness.
