Sister Anita Marie of the Holy Family was born Dorothy Grace DaCosta on July 31, 1924 in Attleboro, MA to Gabriel and Mary DaCosta. Her father, Gabriel was from Lisbon, Portugal and Mary, her Mother, from the Azores. Sr. Anita Marie was a member of the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate, a lay branch of the Missionary Cenacle Family. Sister Anita Marie entered the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity on February 11, 1947. In the Novitiate she received the name Sr. Anita Marie of the Holy Family. She professed her Perpetual Vows on March 25, 1952. In Sr. Anita Marie’s 75 years of service as an MSBT she served in Uniontown, PA; Norwood, MA; Hyannis, MA; Southington CT; and East Taunton, MA. Her ministries have been Parish Ministry, Religious Education and the Ministry of Prayer. Currently Sr. Anita Marie is missioned to Mother Boniface Missionary Cenacle at Wesley Pennypack, Philadelphia in the Ministry of Prayer.
