Celebrating 60 Years
Sr. Guadalupe Maria of the Immaculate Heart of Mary was born Ida Nieto on April 11, 1934 to Toribio and Guadalupe Torres Nieto in Brooklyn, New York. Sr. Guadalupe Maria entered the MSBTs on August 5, 1961. During her 60 years as an MSBT, Sr. Guadalupe served in Long Island City, NY; Ponce, PR; Cabo Rojo, PR; Newark, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; El Comandante PR; Camden, NJ; Waltham, MA; Bloomfield, NJ; Flemington, NJ; Hohokus, NJ; Maple Shade, NJ; Somers Point, NJ and Summit, NJ. Her ministries included Parish and Agency work, Spanish Apostolate, Hispanic Development, and Religious Education. Sister Guadalupe is currently missioned in Philadelphia, PA at the Motherhouse.
