Sister Jennie Catanese of Love was born on October 9, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY to Ralph and Teresa Catanese. Sr. Jennie’s father, Ralph, was from Italy and her mother, Teresa, was from Brooklyn. Sister Jennie was a member of the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate, a lay branch of the Missionary Cenacle Family. She entered the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity on September 12, 1962. She received the name Sr. Mary Eucharia of Love in the Novitiate. Sister Jennie professed her Perpetual Vows on March 25, 1970. In her sixty years as an MSBT she served in Jackson, MS; Birmingham, AL; and Philadelphia, PA. Sr. Jennie’s ministries have included Catholic Social Services, Retreat Ministry, Site Manager of Hospitality House (a day treatment center), and as a Parish Volunteer. Currently, Sr. Jennie is missioned in Philadelphia at our Motherhouse.
