Sr. Marie Innocentia of the Child Jesus was born Madeline Mary Lipari on January 2, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY to Louise and Madeline Lipari, both of Italy. Sr. Marie Innocentia entered the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity on September 24, 1941. In the Novitiate she received the name Sr. Marie Innocentia of the Child Jesus. Sister professed her perpetual Vows on March 25, 1946. In Sr. Innocentia’s eighty one years of service as an MSBT she served in West Orange, NJ; Cambridge, MA; Ensley, AL; Opelika, AL; Wareham, MA; and Brooklyn, NY. Her ministries have included: Parish ministry, Census Work, Kindergarten Teacher, Religious Education, Agency Referrals, Emergency Assistance, Home Visiting, Visiting of the Homebound and Nursing Homes, Administration of Summertime Program for Children and Youth, Recruitment, Training and Supervising CYO Summer Job Corps and the Ministry of Prayer. Currently, Sr. Innocentia is missioned to Mother Boniface Missionary Cenacle at Wesley Pennypack, Philadelphia in the Ministry of Prayer.
